What an awesome venue. Had the privilege to spend the weekend of 07 Feb. 2025 at Ohana with family and a few friends. Fishing wasn't to great due to invasive water grass, however, the owners tried their best to clear some of it to mske fishing possible. Rooms, ablutions and kitchen were very clean and more than adequate for our needs. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this venue to anybody. We will be back soon. What an amazing, beautiful and gem of a place. Our first experience was amazing priced just right and the venue what a view........... Seing the photos of the big fish that the small but beautiful peace of water produced I knew that I had to book pack and go. My wife and kids had so much fun even though we did not catch those big boy's. Can't wait for my next trip..

We had a wonderful weekend at Ohana! The cabins are spacious, the set up perfect for families with kids, and the fishing did not disappoint. We requested extras such a platters and cupcakes as it was a birthday celebration, and Chantelle ensured that all ordered food was delivered and it was delicious. We will definitely be planning another trip.

I organized my cousins bachelor's at Ohana and we all had a great time. Ohana's kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The rooms were nice and clean and beds were comfy. It is also very peaceful and the fishing was good. You will struggle to find something better at this price. Can definitely recommend Ohana.

My wife and I decided to take a mid-week break during the last week of September. We chose Ohana Fishermen’s Cabins as they advertised the facilities as wheelchair friendly and we could take our small dog with. I was sceptical at first as I am a quadriplegic and there are very little fishing venues that can cater for wheelchair users. We probably chose the worst week imaginable to go fishing, the weather was horrible to say the least. The wind came up and the temperature plummeted, it became bitterly cold and the thunderstorms and rain didn’t make it easer. For 2 days we were “stuck” inside the cabin. I was pleasantly surprised as the 4 sleeper unit we had were clean and neat, inside there was a bar fridge and a wall mounted heater. The cabin was very well constructed and insulated, during all the storms not a single drop of water came into the cabin. Due to my condition I struggle to regulate my body temperature and yet I was cosy and warm the whole time, I slept like a baby. My wife had to make several trips to the communal kitchen to prepare meals and make us something warm to drink. She kept on raving about the kitchen that was clean and very well stocked with cutlery and appliances, not something we were used to during our fishing outings. The ablutions were situated next to the kitchen, this too were clean and had all the necessary amenities one needed. Wheelchair access to all facilities and cabin was great and I had no problem, even with my oversized wheelchair. Our dog had the time of her life. The area was fenced in and we never had to worry about her “escaping” or getting lost, we also felt safe and secure during our stay. Chantelle constantly checked up on us to ensure our safety and well-being, this was much appreciated. During our 2nd last day the wind died down and the sun began to shine. We unpacked the fishing gear and put a few lines in the water. Early evening we unpacked the braai and my wife made us a awesome meal with a variety of meats we got from Brahman Butchery in Ogies. Our trip was topped of when my wife caught a beautiful 4kg carp, later our neighbor caught a 5kg beauty. During the day our neighbour’s young children swam and splashed in the “farmdam” and played of the huge jungle gym and trampoline. I must admit that I was sad to leave the next day. Thank you for such a great venue for all fishermen and especially for us wheelchair users, I highly recommend your facility. We are already planning our next trip to Ohana Fishermen’s Cabins.
